One day, out of curiosity, Don Zweedijk entered Het Maliegilde. He already noticed the place before and wondered what went on inside. It turned out to be a sheltered metal workshop, where anyone with poor job prospects can learn the craft of metalworking.

CHAIR EROLL is a durable wooden design chair made of steel from the Mogelijkheid Collectie. The armchair consists of a wooden seat and a metal frame. That makes this armchair minimalistic and timeless. Just like the other furniture in this collection, you can also assemble Chair Eroll yourself by choosing from the type of frame and the type of wood. The Mogelijkheid Collectie was created through a special collaboration between designer Don Zweedijk and the sheltered metal workshop the Maliegilde in Utrecht. A part of the proceeds from each chair sold goes to the makers to further support them in their development. The chair is available as a dining chair (seat more upright) to match the table from the collection and armchair (seat more backwards).

Delivery times
Delivery times of articles depend on where the entrepreneur is located and where the customer wants his order to be sent. The entrepreneur of the ordered item will contact you regarding the delivery time.
Each product is made by hand and will be produced when an order is placed. The supplier will be in contact for the delivery time and date.
Mounting of the cabinet / delivery furniture
Want to pick up the furniture yourselve? That is fun and for free.
If you want you can pick up the furniture yourself ad the workshop where the collection is made. It’s a good experience because you can how your furniture is made and you probably meet the maker.

It is possible to mount the cabinet yourself, but this will be done at own risk. An instruction guide will be made for this purpose.
Mounting and delivery done by us.
For the mounting of the cabinet a rate is calculated of € 45 per hour, per installer. The mounting of the cabinet is usually done by two installers.
Average assembly time cabinet:
Presumably the shelves of the cabinet can be slid in from the side, if the wall to the left or to the right of the cabinet has the length of a shelf space. In that case, the mounting takes approxima- tely 4 man hours. If this is not the case (think of a brick wall, or an irregular wall), the assembly will likely take longer.
Travel expenses will be calculated for all deliveries and assemblies outside of Utrecht.
Per kilometer will be charged if:
- delivering and assembly cabinet € 0.30 / per kilometer
- only delivery / per kilometer € 0.65
Example
In case of delivering and mounting a cabinet in Amsterdam the following will be charged:
Travel expenses there way (40km’s) - € 0,30 (40 x € 0,30) = € 12,00
Delivering & Mounting *(4 hours) - € 40,00 (4 x € 40,-) = € 160,00
Travel expenses way back (40km’s) - € 0,30 (40 x € 0,30) = € 12,00
Subtotal € 184,00 (excl. VAT)
VAT € 38,64

The collection evolved out of looking at possibilities and not at limitations. The ultimate goal is to challenge the maker of Het Malie Gilde and increase his chances of obtaining a permanent, paid job. For this, a manufacturing process has been developed that will stimulate him and even surprise him with his own abilities. This way, the manufacturing process is also a learning process that centralizes the maker’s development. This is how the men of Het Malie Gilde were challenged to work very accurately and weld flawlessly. As such, the creation- and learning process interlocked perfectly. The first piece of furniture from the collection was a cabinet, where wood and metal became one in their purest form.
