In 2015 Josette worked for Closing the Loop, focusing on circularity for mobile phones, and trying to turn the mobile phone into a waste-free product. It is around that time that she, together with her friend Joyce, came up with the idea of making beautiful jewelry made from waste phones collected by Closing the Loop.

We believe in circularity. That’s why we make sure that for every piece of jewelry that we sell, our partner Closing the Loop can collect, ship, and responsibly recycle waste phones from Africa. This way, these metals will be used for eternity! And therefore, YOU contribute to less e-waste worldwide.
Our collection is called Connection. It is heartfelt, handmade, and locally produced, by the wonderful Eva Schreuder. Jewelry connects people— literally and figuratively. It represents the most wonderful material result of interhuman connection. Every piece of jewelry has personal value that lies in its emotional or sentimental worth. Worldwide
Unfortunately it is not possible yet to order our jewelry if you live outside the EU. Please reach out to us by email via josette@thisisnowa.com if you would like our jewelry to be available worldwide!
Track & Trace
Within The Netherlands we work with DHL. You receive a track-and-trace code through us. Orders for EU will also receive a track-and-trace code once the parcel is shipped, from the third party that’s shipping your items. In each case, it allows you to easily track your order.
Returns
Did our product not meet your expectations? No worries, you can exchange or return the item within 14 days of delivery.
In case you’d like to return or exchange an item you can contact us through josette@thisisnowa.com. Please let us know why you want to return your item. Was it too big, too small, or did it just not meet your expectations? The more details you give us the better we can use your feedback to improve our products. We might even be able to help you find the exact piece that fits your needs!
Please be aware that returns without a return email cannot be processed. The item you want to return needs to arrive in perfect condition at our office in order for us to process your request. Nowa is not responsible for defects to the item prior to receiving the package.

Don’t forget to let us know that the item you returned is yours, by mentioning you as the sender, or by adding a note with your order number!
Guarantee
We guarantee quality! If your item has a defect within six months after you have purchased it, you can send it back to us. We will then repair it for you free of costs. Please first let us know that you’re sending back your item via email: josette@thisisnowa.com and mention what is broken. If you can add a picture to show what is broken, that would be great!
After reporting it via email we’ll repair it free of charge. Within 2 weeks we’ll let you know when you can expect your item back in brand new condition.
If your item broke after six months, you can make use of our repair service. For a friendly price we’ll repair your item and send it back to you, good as new. The price of our repair service depends on the damage. Please reach out to us via email, by letting us know what is broken and attach a photo of your broken item. We will then get back to you within 2 weeks with the price of reparation.
